DesJarden Acres LLC
Cooks, MI
We are a small, rural farm, located on nearly 20 acres in the beautiful South-Central Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We currently have a small, but growing, herd of ADGA Registered Nigerian Dwarf and American Alpine Goats.
We also raise a variety of breeds of chickens (including Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Light Brahmas, Easter Eggers, and have most recently added some Wyandottes to our flock) We consider our animals to be part of our family. We strive to provide them with not only the most comfortable living conditions, but also with the best quality feed and veterinary-care available. We participate in monthly DHIA milk-testing to ensure top-quality milk and health of our does as well as yearly ADGA Linear Appraisals to help assess the strengths and weaknesses of our herd, in order to make the best breeding decisions we can. Our first year, we allowed our single kid to be dam raised. However, we plan to plan in the future to bottle-raise our kids on CAE Prevention. We are extremely thankful for all that our animals provide for us: companionship, entertainment, and healthy, delicious dairy products. We work hard to make and create as much with their bounty as possible for ourselves and others. Check out what we have to offer under the Products tab above. If you are interested in purchasing goats from us, check out our Kidding Schedule or Sales page. We want to thank you for taking time to check us out and we would like to especially thank all of our wonderful customers! |
